Welcome to the ARMA International Tidewater Chapter Website. We are happy you stopped by. Please take a few moments to browse through our pages. Tidewater ARMA is a chapter of the Mid-Atlantic Region of ARMA International. ARMA International is a not-for-profit professional association and the leader in education and training for records and information management professionals. If you are looking for a local professional records management group to get involved with, you have come to the right place!

ARMA International offers many benefits to its members including a bimonthly professional journal, interesting and timely webinars available free to members only, and a Records and Information Management (RIM) Self-Assessment currently free to members. The Tidewater Chapter meets monthly on the third Tuesday from September to June. We plan each new chapter year to include presentations at our monthly dinner meetings on timely and current topics such as "Green" RIM, e-Discovery, electronic records retention, and legal compliance for RIM issues. The Tidewater Chapter encompasses all of the Hampton Roads area. Our chapter covers York County, Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Smithfield, Portsmouth, Poquoson, Norfolk, Newport News, James City County, Isle of Wight County, Hampton, Gloucester & everywhere in between. Members come from government and many different types of business. We have members from federal government, local government, big industrial business, small business, banking, imaging vendors, records storage companies, and records management consulting.

Whether you are new to records management or if you have years of records management experience under your belt, we would like to welcome you to our chapter. We all need to network with each other and help each other grow in knowledge and experience in the records management profession. Our group includes very talented and accomplished individuals that together make up a great team of professionals in a business that is so important to the business world of today.
