Information Governance in the Web 2.0 Era
Program Coordinator for the new Master's Degree in Archives and Records
Administration at San Jose State University.
Michael "Mike" Daconta is the Chief Technology Officer
and co-founder of Accelerated Information Management (AIM), LLC.
Mr. Daconta will present his perspective on "Information
Management and Transparency in the Cloud."
Mike has been an information technology professional for more
than twenty years. Prior to founding AIM he was formerly the
Metadata Program Manager for the Department of Homeland
Security. Mike is also an author, speaker, and journalist.
Mike has written several articles for the "Reality Check" column
in the Government Computer News since 2008 describing the IT
industry's responses to information sharing challenges among
federal agencies. One challenge he described is: What are the
most common things everyone must agree on to have minimal
interoperability? The answer embodied in the National
Information Exchange Model (NIEM) is refreshingly minimalist:
who, what, when, and where.
Richard Hogg
ERMp, MBCS, CITP. Richard is Records Product Manager at IBM. Richard's
presentation titled "Information Governance 2.0+" will focus on: RM for the
Future and what's needed today; how Web 2.0 isn't going away and whether your
enterprise is ready; making retention and RM a native invisible
part of all content services and key to getting to Information Lifecycle
Governance (ILG); the maturing technologies on your doorstep eager for RM; and
some future RM challenges to ponder in this 2.0 World. Richard led the eRecords
Center of Excellence (ERCC), enabling IBM to complete and certify records
enablement across the ECM suite (including email management and document
management), validating discovery solutions and to start deployments of
worldwide customers. Mr. Hogg is an active participant at the major IBM
conferences including CMTC and IOD, presenting sessions on technical and non
technical aspects of records management deployments, and also participates in
IBM attendance and presence at public annual record conferences including ARMA,
MER, RACO and AIIM -
