Our Region is made up of 15 ARMA chapters, representing the Eastern United States from as far North as Pennsylvania and as far South as Georgia.  Each of these chapters has a unique membership and set of annual events that are designed by the local membership in each chapter.  Check out the brief overviews for some of our chapters listed alphabetically below:

The Charleston Chapter of ARMA (CHARMA) includes the greater Charleston area and outlying areas such as Summerville, Moncks Corner, Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach. We are very proud to be selected to host the 2008 Leadership Conference this summer. Our monthly meetings are held in various areas to encourage member attendance. We offer "lunch and learn" meetings with guest speakers and provide a network of experienced record managers. Membership is not a requirement to attend our "lunch and learn" meetings. Gaithersburg, MD (http://www.armamar.org/GMD)

The Gaithersburg ARMA Chapter is a diverse and friendly group of records and information professionals dedicated to providing educational and networking opportunities.  They meet once a month in the evening after work for networking, dinner, and a presentation to enhance their knowledge and to keep informed of state-of-the-art developments in the field of RIM.  Visit them on the web and join them at their monthly meetings.  Take advantage of the benefits, awards, and grants available through the chapter, some of which are available to nonmembers.  They look forward to welcoming you to their next meeting.

Greater Washington DC (http://www.gwdcarma.org/)

The Greater Washington, DC chapter (GWDC ARMA) is located in our nation's capital in the most powerful city in the world!  They are surrounded by the beauty of our national monuments, national historical sites and, of course, our three branches of government - the Congress, the Executive Branch and the Supreme Court.  Their  monthly meetings are held at local downtown law firms and are usually conveniently scheduled during lunchtime hours on the third Wednesday of each month.  The GWDC ARMA Chapter was incorporated in July, 1975.

Greenville, SC  (http://www.armamar.org/GA/)

The Greenville Area Chapter is comprised of members from several upstate South Carolina counties.  They also have members from the Asheville, North Carolina area, since the chapter is very close to them.  Although they are a small chapter, they have dedicated members, many of whom have been involved with the chapter since it was established.   Chapter meetings are mostly held during lunchtime; although on occasions they schedule 1-2 for Breakfast times.   Meetings are held at 2-3 different locations in the upstate area in order to offer a variety of choices for the menu and scenery.
