Message from the PresidentTuesday, November 4, 2008 Dear Chapter Members, As many of us know, the past few months have been emotionally charged for many people because of the presidential election. Getting out to vote and "making a difference" has been the message everywhere, whether on the radio, on the television, in newspapers, or in magazines. Making a difference is what can be the "tipping point" to real change for many things in life. Our chapter here in Pittsburgh is a very wide straight avenue to making a difference in our world of records management. It is the road of opportunity for highly promoting the great importance of records management in education, as a profession, and in work in general. I invite all of our chapter members to get involved in our chapter activities. A records management study group is being formed, plans are being made to hold Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in 2010 here in Pittsburgh, and ideas for program speakers are always being discussed. We also need articles for our chapter newsletter and website. Let's make a difference right now! This is not the time to simply coast along. If you truly believe in the importance of records management principles and want to make a difference, then now is the time come to every meeting and actively participate in our discussions and help make plans for chapter activities. The great importance of records management principles and education needs a strong voice in Pittsburgh, and I am counting on our chapter members to be that special voice. Sincerely,
Chris
