Dr. Cox Speaks about the Professions of Archivist and Records Manager
Dr. Richard Cox, Ph.D. Christian Savine and Dr. Cox
During the second week of February, we were very fortunate to have the opportunity to listen to a lecture given by Dr. Richard Cox, Ph.D. Dr. Cox is a prominent scholar in the field of records and information science at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. He talked about the differences and similarities between the professions of archivist and records manager, current issues, and opportunities for certification and formal education. Several years ago, Dr. Cox was the speaker at one of our chapter programs. His lectures are always very informative. He is easy to talk to and welcomes questions and comments about archival and records management issues. We always look forward to having him as a speaker. His insights and helpful information obtained from his dedicated research have added a lot to the archival and records management professions! Be sure to take a look at the vendor page on this website. There is an advertisement for the School of Information Sciences that you won't want to miss.
