New for ARMA '07!
Legal Track

Given the U.S. Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, possible changes in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and the increasing emphasis on e-discovery, this year's conference offers a full agenda of legal compliance education.  The two-day legal conference covers ethics, conflicts of interest, and records management, primarily law firms.

Lawyer or not, these sessions will help you understand and prepare for all of these issues.

About Town
Dining on the Pier

Grab some friends or colleagues and head to Baltimore's Inner Harbor area - within walking distance from the headquarters hotel - to find extraordinary local seafood specialties.  If you want to venture a little farther, Federal Hill features authentic Mexican fare, Mt. Vernon offers Indian and Afghan cuisine, and Little Italy is a must-stop destination for homemade pasta, pastries, and pizzerias.

Why be a Member of ARMA's GBMC ?

Potential New Chapter Member,

Hello and thanks for your interest in joining the Greater Baltimore Maryland Chapter (GBMC) of ARMA.

Generally, the GBMC meets on the1st Monday of each month.  You will have opportunities to network and compare notes with other professionals in the Records Management Industry, have a reasonably priced dinner ($30 for members/$35 for guests), plus an educational program with a speaker on current topics in our industry.  Additionally, we publish a monthly newsletter, “KEYWORDS”, which will provide information in advance regarding the next Chapter meeting.  We also send out a monthly electronic EVITE from which you can reply directly to register for the next meeting.  Your email address will be added to the EVITE contact list.

In joining the Chapter, you must also become a member of ARMA INTL.  The membership cost at present is $175 for ARMA International and $35 for the Baltimore Chapter.  The simplest way to join is directly on the ARMA website:  www.arma.org There, you can complete membership online for the International Association and for any specific Chapters as well.  The Baltimore Chapter is no. 68 in case you need that at the time of registration.  An application in pdf format is also attached should you prefer to mail your application.  You can then mail payment directly to ARMA INTL, who will then make an escrow deposit into our Chapter account for your Chapter membership.

Our next meeting in Baltimore, FYI, is listed on the Programs Page   Details will follow in an  EVITE and newsletter.  Please note that because the Chapter must guarantee the number of dinners with the restaurant, if a reservation is made and the meeting is not attended, the party is still responsible and will be billed.

Again, thank you for your interest in ARMA and the Baltimore Maryland Chapter in particular.  If there is any additional information or assistance you need, please do not hesitate to call or write.  I would be happy to assist you any way I can.
